Skill Building

Skill Building Overview

We can skill-build through various means with our clients. We can create our own pieces of training customized to our participants or look for other opportunities through different methods, internships, or volunteer opportunities.

Important Information: We only do general skill-building in the Engage Phase and EDS-Plan Phase. Skill-building would need to relate to their job duties in the Keep Phase.

We aren’t looking for mastery! This is just a great way to improve some skills. The best practice comes from actually working.

Workplace Training Overview

We offer training on job responsibilities, appropriate workplace behavior, and/or professional workplace relationships in the Keep Phase.

These pieces of training should be person-centered and customized to your client’s needs. Ask your client if they would like your assistance before providing.

This shouldn’t be done on the job and instead should be done outside of work. We don’t want to distract our participants on the worksite.

Check off your training idea with your supervisor before implementing it!

Important Information: We only do workplace training in the Keep Phase and it needs to relate to the participant’s CURRENT job.
